Ducks Take Game 3, Pull Ahead 2-1 In Series Against Blackhawks

If you thought the Anaheim Ducks might lose their sense of momentum after a crushing triple overtime defeat to the Chicago Blackhawks the other night, think again. Last night the Ducks grinded out a 2-1 victory over the Blackhawks on their home turf.

And how did the two teams play after a lengthy and exhausting Game 2? Well, according to Fox Sports, a little bit sluggish:

“It wasn’t the sharpest of games for either club, both of which were probably still feeling the effects of that length Game 2 and the ensuing cross-country flight.”

Nonetheless, Fox Sports did give it up to a superb showing from goalie Frederik Anderson and team captain Ryan Getzlaf.

The next encounter between the Ducks and the Blackhawks will take place this Saturday in Chicago at United Center.

How do you guys see that one playing out?
